Be-New In Christ Evangelical Church
Our Story, Our Mission,
Our People
Founded in 1989 in Ibadan, Nigeria, Be-New In Christ Evangelical Church exists to preach the Gospel, make disciples, and transform lives through the power of God's Word.
Our Story
From a Sitting Room
to the World
Be-New In Christ Evangelical Church was founded by God through His servant, Apostle (Dr.) P. A. Alimi, in the year 1989. The revelation of the Church was first given to Apostle Alimi in 1982, while he was a member of Peace Mission Church, Ibadan. For years the vision was confirmed through friends, colleagues and fellow pastors, until 1987 when it was finally accepted. It was further confirmed by Apostle T. O. Obadare of World Soul Evangelistic Ministry (WOSEM).
The early days of the Church were not without challenge. The fellowship, which began in a sitting room, faced opposition until a powerful moment of prayer brought a dramatic turning point that cleared the way for growth. From those humble beginnings, the Church began to grow gradually, and has continued ever since.
Through ministries such as Maranatha World Outreach, Shalom School of Mission, video and audio ministry, and radio broadcasts including the Holy Ghost Night and the Don't Manage Error Programme, the Lord has used Be-New In Christ to bless thousands of lives in Nigeria and around the world. The fellowship that started in a sitting room now has many branches in Nigeria and overseas, and it continues to grow stronger, to the glory of God.
